ITG RoadShield

Texting while driving is a hazard that claims many lives every year, and with the prevalence of smart phones, the trend is only increasing. ITG RoadShield was created to address this problem in a simple, cost-effective and non-invasive way. ITG RoadShield is not a tracking device. It is a an easily installed device that makes driving safer. Once installed on a motor vehicle's OBD-II diagnostic port found under a vehicle's steering wheel, and connected to the ITG RoadShield app, the combined device and software prevent access to the keyboard of a mobile device while said device is in proximity to the driver's position and the vehicle is in motion. Should the vehicle stop, or the mobile device move outside of the driver area, the keyboard function is restored to normal use. This method allows ITG RoadShield to block keyboard access on a device when it is unsafe to use, without inhibiting any other operations of a given device that may be necessary (e.g. emergency phone calls and alerts).ITG RoadShield also includes several methods for securing the device for use while unattended.
